Frequent flooding in several homes at Valley Creek Estates led to a year-long investigation and remediation project to restore the performance of two poorly maintained drainage basins on site. The homeowners’ association retained Boulevard Studios to identify the key issues, prepare a work plan, and secure a contractor to complete the improvements. The project was extensive but effective and, in retrospect, a reminder of the importance of maintaining stormwater systems, even if they appear to work with nature.

Not wanting to let the efforts go to waste, Boulevard Studios prepared a maintenance guide for the management company, landscapers, and homeowners who can likewise keep an eye on the condition of the basins. Completion and upkeep of the work had the added benefit of earning stormwater credits with the local sewer district, saving money for the association and residents alike.
